SERVICES

DUEMS provides regular emergency medical coverage to Drexel University's Main Campus and surrounding community on Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights from 7pm - 7am, and on Wednesday & Sunday nights from 7pm-1am year round while class is in session as well as additional daytime and evening shifts based on staffing availability. Drexel EMS is certified by the PA Department of Health as a quick response service (QRS), rendering emergent, stabilizing care, from the time you call for EMS, to the time a Philadelphia Fire Department unit arrives. At this time we do not provide emergency transport services, however, we provide the same level of care as any Philadelphia Fire Department Basic Life Support (BLS) unit.

Emergency Medical Response

DUEMS works closely with Drexel University College of Medicine's EMS department to provide training and continuing education for members, students and staff. DUEMS also provides CPR courses on campus that are taught by our members who have completed the American Heart Associations BLS CPR instructor course and are certified to lead these courses. During the Spring Term DUEMS holds an annual BBQ where students, staff and the community are welcome to join in on hands on training and education.
