EMT Certification Training

Looking to get your EMT Certification?

Drexel EMS offers EMT Certification Courses on campus through the Drexel College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine Training Institute. These courses are available to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

  • Start date: Due to COVID-19, please check the course calendar for the most recent updates.

  • Cost:

    • Tuition: *(Discounts and scholarships available for ACTIVE Drexel EMS members - only active members currently in Drexel EMS can receive a discount and scholarship)

    • Registration: $350 (Non-Refundable) 

      • A $200 discount will be given to current Drexel University students.

  • Class Format:​

    • Classes will meet Mondays 9am-2pm, Wednesdays 9am-2pm and Saturdays 8am-5pm. 

  • Classes will be held at Drexel's EMS/AHA Training Center

  • Upon completion of the course, students will take written and practical state exams for their PA EMT certification as well as for National Registry (NREMT)

    • ​The final class day and NREMT Psychomotor testing will be about 3 months following the start date

* Please note that in order to qualify for an EMT class scholarship, you must be an official member of Drexel EMS as an undergraduate or graduate student of Drexel University and be eligible to participate in student organizations according to university standards.
